How Dangerous Are Slab Leaks?
There are various reasons that can cause a leak below concrete slabs, however, perhaps the most common is clay below the foundations. Due to the heaving and shifting soils beneath the slab, it places tremendous pressure on the concrete and causes it to heave and shift also, which will eventually result in cracks and slab leaks. Different kinds of clay are generally the cause as clay expands and contracts when wet.
